Fogel & the Sheriff's " Son of a gun"

"Jeremy Fogel and his mad band of wandering Israelis hits their stride with this passionate reading of Rabbi Jesus’ sacred message to the world and how it has been diluted and distorted by greed, power and ambition.
Beginning with prophecies of wrath, anger and destruction, and moving to the overpowering intonations of good spirits, love and true mystical presences, this is a cd that will have you howling at the hypocrisies of organized religion, and laughing in delight at the ultimate victory of good over evil.
Another intense ride of love with the Israeli Gainsbourg who brought you Pissuk Rachav!"

Fogel & the Sheriffs are a band currently living, recording and performing in Berlin. Their debut Album, “Exorcism”, was  released by Tzadik, John Zorn's label in New York, and features artists such as Brian Chase (Yeah Yeah Yeahs) Gal Bar Adon (Jazzsteppa) and others. Pissuk Rachav , a previous band involving the same musical family, released an album in Hebrew in 2009 (also with Tzadik).Inspired by Luminaries such as Serge Gainsbourg and Alejandro Jodorowsky, Fogel & the Sheriff seek to use music and lyrics for mind expansion and awakening of sacred vitality. "Exorcism", is a collection of provocative spiritual protest songs which shine a light on the dark & perverted presences that are shadowing the holiness of our religious traditions, and an attempt at seeking for the grand original sense of beatitude that gave birth to them to start of with.
